The name comes from the Sanskrit words Ushtra meaning "camel" and Asana meaning "posture" or "seat". Viparita Karani - Legs up the Wall Pose The Viparita Karani is a mild inversion and is also called the Inverted Lake Pose. Viparita Karani is known to diminish wrinkles and it can make you look younger. This posture will make your blood flow into various parts of your body that requires it. Viparita Karani is often done at the end of a yoga practice, before the final relaxation pose (Savasana) or meditation. Padangusthasana - Big Toe Pose The Big Toe Pose or the Padangusthasana is one of the easier poses in yoga. It is one of the few poses that will help you to stretch all your muscles from head to toe. Padahastasana, or the standing forward bend is an inverted posture which provides many of the same benefits of the seated forward bend. Sitali Pranayama - Cooling Breath Technique In Sanskrit, the word sitali means "cooling," and this breath has an immediate cooling effect. Inhaling into the moisture of your tongue makes your mouth—and whole body—feel a nice inner breeze. Sit in a comfortable position with a tall spine. Breathe in and out, and pay attention to the flow of your breath at the tip of your nose.
